trigger - an extremely powerful tool
The -238 includes a 2-wire RS485 industrial communication/data bus allowing
communication between up to 32 pcs. -238's all over your home. You can program one -238 to
send a BusCommand Action onto the bus-system, which will act as a BusCommand Trigger on
the listening -238's. The BusCommand can be send to a specific addressed -238 or
broadcasted to all -238's. The receiving -238's can be programmed to perform the same or
different jobs on the same BusCommand trigger.

command' trigger
A command from a PC/controller, commanding the -238 to control a specific Action.
Could be a command to send an InfraRed code, turn an output on or off, flash the red led
in the front of the cabinet, control a relay, close curtains, control light, open/close
garagedoor, etc.
Command 039 is often used to
start/exercise/control the Action.

Input' trigger
Grounding or release of the built-in digital inputs, can be used as Trigger.
Could for example be a magnetic switch monitoring the garagedoor, windows, doors, etc.
When the switch changes a command 908
is send to the computer.

line' trigger
Detection of the phone line status (Ringing, Conversation, Idle) can be used as
Trigger. Requires that one of the digital inputs is programmed as Telephone and that an
Automutic Telephone Relay is installed.

If a larger number of input triggers are needed, then detection of an ICDP input
can be used as Trigger. Initially we cover Address 1- 16, Input 1 - 8, On or Off, giving a

in LinTronic TableTop products).
