29'th December 2003

A happy NewYear
First we want to wish all of our customers a happy and prosperous NewYear. Appreciate your continued support and interest for our products. We hope to bring a range of exciting products and development news in 2004.

TT455-RT-238
We have found a software bug in TT455-RT-238, causing the TT455-RT-238 to convert some codes incorrectly.
This is a minor problem as the PC program to support TT455-RT-238 has not yet been relased.
Expected release date is still January 1'st 2004.

This is merely an information to all TT455-RT-238 customers, that a software update using BOOTLOADER will be needed when we launch in a couple of days. We recommend you already now, download the latest TableTop software, TT455-RT-238 from the Download section, and start playing with the BOOTLOADER.

We will support you with a Beta-release of SETUP in the next couple of days.

Customers Area
The web-site now include a new "Customers" area holding OrderTracking, Customer and NewsLetter Registration.
We will move data from the existing customer database, in a few days, however, we strongly recommend you already now enter your personal data and register your LinTronic products, for optimized service support.

23'th December 2003

Merry Christmas
First we want to wish all of our customers a merry X-mas and a prosperous NewYear. Appreciate your continued support and interest for our products. We hope to bring a range of exciting products and development news in 2004.

TT455-RT-238
The interest for this new product is very high and we are struggling to keep up. We emphasize that the PC software supporting this product is very close to being released and the TT455-RT-238 will NOT work without it. However, we had to start delivering as customer orders are piling up.

The good news, is that all customers and dealers, will be sharing a web-database. This database will hold all functions from the remote controls stored in the TT455-RT-238 by the individual user/dealer. The PC software is being created to offer the best possible use of this database. We are currently refining the last bits and pieces. It is impossible to understand the magnitude and the great functionality of this database, but you can get an idea by visiting the SupportedDevices.

The PC software will also support the writing of a customized Owners Manual, depending on the configuration of the actual  TT455-RT-238. If you want to get an idea of what this will look like, please visit the InfraRed Converter TT455-RT-238 in the Products section.

Customers having received a TT455-RT-238, experience an included 3-pin 38 KHz IR receiver. This is to be used as an external IR receiver and must be connected to the 3.5 mm Input, in the rear of the TT455-RT-238 but ONLY while reading 38 KHz remote controls. More information will follow shortly. In the mean time, please study the TableTop Technical Manual in the Download section.

OrderTracking
OrderTracking has been refined and now allows the customer to see ProformaInvoice, DeliveryNote and Package Label.
You can get a demo by tracking our test order.

Supported InfraRed audio/video products
We have created a web-based database holding audio/video products supported by the software in our InfraRed receivers, transmitters and converters. The database is easily maintained by end-users and dealers from within the SETUP program, when detecting InfraRed remote controls.

New product
We are finalizing the software for a new products called TT455-RT-238.
We strongly encourage our dealers and business partners to have a good look at this product, as we predict a high interest from the market. The initial interest has been very good. We strongly suggest you book orders now.
We handle orders first-in-first-out.

Later we introduce TT455-RX-232.

22'th November 2003

OrderTracking
An OrderTracking system is introduced.
We appreciate the many feedbacks and suggestions as to how such a system could work.

We have designed a rather user-friendly system. Simply enter the email address from your order, and the 12-digit LinTronic OrderNumber, which gives you an instant overview of your order:
Dates for OrderConfirmation, Payment received and Order shipped, as well as Danish Post Track&Trace number, covering all 13 membercountries of the EPG (European Parcel Group) cooperation, offering two days delivery time to major areas of business all over Europe.

To protect our customers, we do not advise vital information like: Email address, ordered products, amount of money involved, delivery address, etc.

Furthermore, you have the option to change the status of your orders to "Order received" which deletes all tracking information.

New Sony codes
This week we assisted in an installation in Germany involving control of a Sony DVD player DAV-S888, Panasonic plasma screens, satellite receiver Kathrein C1, projector DLP Multimedia projekctor, Bang&Olufsen CD player and TV, lights etc.

This project was interesting to us in particular as it turned out that Sony use a new code set in the DAV-S888. The remote control (RM-SS880) sends both 15 and 20 bits codes - normally Sony is 12 bits.

We have instantly changed the detection software for TT038-RT-001 to detect all these Sony codes, which resulted in the new Command 817 (12, 15, or 20 bit Sony code detected). If we find more Sony variations they can be added to Command 817.
Command 802 is therefore obsoleted as of today.

Command 700 now additionally offers transmission of Sony 12, 15 and 20 bit codes.

The benefit if using Command 700 with a set of parameters, instead of creating a new command for sending infrared codes, is the developers can re-use the already installed LinTronic_IR.DLL and do not need to re-compile code at their respective customers.

New OnLine ordering system
We finally found the time to update our product presentation and ordering system.
It now automatically calculates the freight charges for international shipments, based on the weight of your order, regardless of where you live.
A ShoppingList specifies the cost of products, freight and VAT. This means you get a full overview before adding personal information and actually ordering the products.

Try it out by clicking 'Products'.

28'th October 2003

Both FUGA and TableTop products can now be software updated from a computer in RS232 or RS485
We have added RS485 timing control to allow computer software updates.
Read more - click.

Product software updates
Upon request from a customer, the FUGA-IT-38 and TT038-RT-001 are now capable of transmitting InfraRed codes in the 16 - 80 KHz range.

As the software offers more and more features, for example by adding TelephoneRelay support and PIR motion detector support, the chances for data-collision on the RS485 bus increase. For that reason we have introduced data-collision-check when communicating in RS485. The PRODUCT will check that the communication lines have rested for 12 ms before sending data onto the bus. This delay has no effect on the InfraRed detection and is not visible for the user.

Windows software updates
SETUP have been updated to support the latest LinTronic_IR.DLL (version 1.14).
- Setup added programmable IR frequency in the range from 16 - 80 KHz.

Command Reference List
Still undergoing improvement to give better overview of how the commands work together.

38 KHz receivers/transmitters decoding enhanced
All 38 KHz products have been upgraded to receive and transmit the most used codes. Most remote controls on the market use standard codes like for example Philips 3004 and RC5 codes, NEC codes and variations hereof. Now we have expanded the fixed decoding of our 38 KHz receivers/transmitters. With these codes we cover more than 90% of the consumer remote controls on the market. With the CodeLearn and CodeTransmit facility, we cover about 98% of all remotes. See commands 7xx and 8xx in the below command reference list.

Command reference list
In order to give a better overview of the various products functionality, a command reference list is currently being created.
